This is our "Stash Busters" page. It's our collection of links to patterns that are good for using up those bits and pieces, leftovers and that yarn that has taken up permanent residence in the stash. You know you need this. Just think when all that stash is gone, there will be so much room for NEW yarn!

Knitter's Review has a section devoted to "What Should I Make With ___ Yds of Yarn?"
If you crochet, here's a list of ideas. Hookers seem to be better at stash busting than knitters. Dunno why.
You could join the Scrap Along, too.
Knitty has lots of great patterns for small amounts of yarn. Go to their archives and look under Whimsies. Lots of ideas there! For example, "Bon Bon"-a bath puff, Feline Dim Sum, (cat toys) Puppers (finger puppets).
Mary Start also has some finger puppet patterns.
Like the idea of turning stash into toys? How about Hand Puppets? Or maybe a bunny?
Plenty of toys to knit for kids in shelters.
Dishcloths! You don't actually have to have a pattern, you know. Get out your favorite stitch library and use it as an excuse to try out some of those borders and patterns you've been thinking you'd like to use someday. Ok, you don't have a stitch library? Here are some links for dishcloths. What's that, you say? Dishcloths don't appeal to you? Fine, consider them luxurious face cloths. If you've got a batch of chenille in your stash, think how nice it would be to wash your face with that before bedtime! Or, think what a nice gift a knitted facecloth and a bar of lavender soap would make. Hey, this might not bust your stash, but make one of these to throw in, too, and you've got yourself a gift basket!
Bath Puff and Back Scrubber for the crocheters.

And Oscardotter has some nice ones, too. While you're there, check out her knitted bookmark patterns. Wouldn't that be cool to give with a gift book?
In fact, you might like it so much you'd want to join the Addicted to Knit Dishcloths lot! Or the Dishcloth Exchange, in case you don't want to keep all the ones you make...
Speaking of gift baskets, how about some tea, a nice mug and a knitted coaster?
Alright so now you've got a ton of little finished objects lying around instead of tons of partial balls of yarn. What are you going to do with all this crap anyway? Gift baskets, as mentioned above. Or, you could help those in need.
Woolworks can help you find local charities that accept knitted items.
And Knitting for a Better World can, too.
We're always in the market for more, so if you have some links for us, by all means, email us. Or, on the other hand if we've linked to your pattern and you'd rather we didn't, please let us know that, too.
